Only if you can get a parent/legal guardian to co-sign for it - basically, THEY become responsible for it if you don%26#039;t make the proper payments. ANY bank will be able to help you out...

Or you could get something like the %26quot;MuchMusic Prepaid Mastercard%26quot; - where your parent%26#039;s put money on it whenever they want to, and you can use it EXACTLY like a credit card ;););)

$1,000 Credit Line available for people with bad credit?

Hi

I%26#039;m looking for a legitimate credit card company that offers $1,000 credit line to people with bad credit. I know there are some but I don%26#039;t know which ones are legit. I received an offer for a $5,000 one unsecured but they wanted my bank account info up front. I know that%26#039;s risky and probably isn%26#039;t legit so I%26#039;m not falling for it. Please let me know any suggestions! Thanks!

When I was just starting out and had no credit whatsoever the only company that would touch me was capital one, and then they only gave me a $400 credit limit. But after making steady payments on time in about two months they gave me $200 more and a month or so after that they gave me a $1000 credit limit. I just went to the capital one website because at the time I was looking for a way to suppliment my college income, and they provided it.|||In my experience there are two types of Bad Credit Credit Cards. One is a secured card, and the other has a much higher rate of interest. Both can be used to rebuild your credit worthiness after getting back on your feet. Secured credit cards are great for rebuilding your credit. You send the credit card company a pre deposit amount set by the company%26lt;!--This amount will be equal to your credit limit. Pay over your minimum every month and send your payment in before the due date and you will build your credit up gradually. Never miss a payment, be late on a payment, or go over your credit limit even by a small amount.

You don%26#039;t want the company to ever have to take from your pre deposit amount because they want you to handle your account just like you would an unsecured card. A great thing about this pre deposit amount that you send in is it can act as a savings account even earning a little--%26gt;bit of interest for you. After establishing yourself with the credit card company, they may decide to give you a unsecured credit card or increase the limit on the one you have with them without having to make another deposit. Secured credit cards are a good choice for anyone wishing to rebuild their credit history.|||The best unsecured credit card to get for people with bad credit is either continental finance or first premier. They are big and legit credit card companies.

Which credit card should i take Amex,MasterCard,Visa??I m approved for all...?boat loans

As a business owner - I can tell you that Amex is much more consumer oriented than the rest. If you dispute a charge, they will side with you faster than Visa or MC - no question. It is harder to get approved for the card but the benefits are much higher, including travelers checks and cool extras. I think that you would be much happier with the Amex. Again, this is from experience on the OTHER side of the fence. Good luck.

As to the comments that Visa and MC are more widely accepted - if you have been approved for all of them anyway, you should use the Amex as your primary and Visa when not accepted.

Take Visa because %26quot;Life takes VISA.%26quot;

Hope this helps.|||Mastercard and Visa are the most widely accepted. It doesn%26#039;t matter which one, they are basically the same.|||Amex is your best bet, as long as it has 0% interest rate and no annual fee.|||No AMEX! That%26#039;s what%26#039;ll happen... they%26#039;ll ex you out in fees.. so don%26#039;t believe their hype and usually have high end percentages. Good luck! @%26#039;~}|||Visa|||I%26#039;ve had them all and the only one I ever like is Amex. Don%26#039;t know about travelling with it. I like the Amex with the savings account with the 5% interest.|||Missouri, USA: Visa has always worked for me. No fees if used once a year.

I get cash back on all of my purchases. They tally it up and send a check once a year.

Although my mastcard has lower rate. no fees %26amp; no cash back.

You should do a side by side comparison for all to see what they are offering you and what will benifit YOU best.|||t%26#039;s good news folks for all Bank of America fans. Open your arms to receive the Rewards American Express Card from Bank of America. What makes this credit card special is that it will be readily accepted across the global network of American Express . Proudly called the Bank of America - Rewards? American Express Card, it brings together the goodness of both the Bank of America and American Express. Let us look at some of its features.

Basic features highlights

Apply online at: http://www.credit-card-gallery.com/Ameri...|||Questions you need to ask the bank offering the card:

1 does it have an annual fee? all fees are BAD

2 what is the fee for currency exchange. Some cards charge a fee for each purchase made abroad. These can add up to large amounts.

3 do they offer online bill pay? To prevent late charges and fees when staying abroad for extended periods of time

Is it possible to apply for a credit card and never use it? Will I get charged for having it?

The only reason I want one is because I want to get the free $25 gift card from Barnes and Noble.

Is it possible to apply for a credit card and never use it? Will I get charged for having it? loan

You could get it and perhaps use it but pay the bill off fully.|||Well you have to use it at least once to get the voucher, I quote

%26quot;After your first purchase we%26#039;ll send you a $25 Barnes %26amp; Noble Gift Card. It%26#039;s our way of saying %26#039;thank you%26#039; for becoming a cardmember.%26quot;

For a $25 dollar voucher, probably more trouble than it%26#039;s worth! However the card apparantly doesn%26#039;t have an annual fee.|||Yes, you don%26#039;t ever have to use it. I have heard having open lines of unused credit can have a negative effect on your credit score. Also if don%26#039;t use the card the company will cancel it after certain period of time.|||Read the fine print; you have to use it once to get the gift card.

American Express does. I have one.

In Europe recently was asked if my credit card had a chip. Now home can%26#039;t find any banks which offer, why?bridge loan

About 8 years ago I got a %26quot;smart card%26quot; from Chase, they replaced it with a chipless card when expiration date rolled around. Since they never implemented any chip features (I don%26#039;t know why), I guess they decided to save the chip money.

Lately, there%26#039;s been a VISA ad showing the use of a %26quot;contactless%26quot; smart card that you just wave to effect a purchase. I don%26#039;t think that a credit card that can be read while its still in your pocket is a good idea though.

I suspect the failure of smart cards in the US is due to lack of trust in the technology by both consumers and providers.

I have an American Express, and there are some very limited Visa and Diner Club cards with smart chips. They are relatively rare because many merchants in the US have not embraced the technology to offer it.
