The more countries develop technologically, the manpower required drops at a small but significant rate.

For example, lets say in 1950 a small company produces 20 shoes a day with the help of twenty people, but now it uses one machine to produce 40 shoes needing only one engineer to operate the machine.

The company manages to produce a profit by making more shoes and cutting labor costs, but the unemployment rate in the country increases as 19 people are now jobless.

Also the demand for skilled labor increases with one engineer replacing 19 cobblers.

Though this advancement is necessary to increase the quality of goods for both public consumption and export it is necessary to strike a balance between the workforce employed and the technology used to replace them, this depends on the average qualitative population of the country.

To put it in short, yes you%26#039;re basically correct but people should not just be kicked out and replaced by machines or the econimy will crumble.
