What 20 states had to raise the minimum wage to meet the FEDs Demands?

What 20 states had to raise the minimum wage to meet the FEDs Demands?

Raising the minimum wage has raised the unemployment numbers for the first time in years?

The number of persons unemployed due to job loss rose by 253,000 in July.

This group accounted for 50.9 percent of the unemployed, up from 48.7 percent

a month earlier.

The highest insured unemployment rates in the week ending July 14 were in Michigan (4.1 percent), Puerto Rico (3.6), New Jersey (3.1), Pennsylvania (3.1), Rhode Island (3.1), Alaska (2.7), Arkansas (2.7), Connecticut (2.5), Massachusetts (2.5), California (2.4), and Wisconsin (2.4).

The largest increases in initial claims for the week ending July 21 were in Illinois (+2,564), Kentucky (+673), Kansas (+164), Colorado (+79), and the District of Columbia (+65),

Your question is rather misleading isn%26#039;t it? You asked what 20 states had to raise the minimum wage to meet FEDs Demands? Then you start quoting Rush Limbaugh, Neal Boortz and Sean Hannity. Are you asking a question or are you making a statement?

You call yourself the Great American, what makes you a great America?

What is this question doing in the travel section? Can%26#039;t you get any attention in the political section? Why did I answer this stupid statement?

OK, let%26#039;s start by learning how to read a DOL report. 253,000 is the number of people who lost their jobs, not the rise in people who lost their jobs; at the same time, other people were getting jobs -- in fact, if you look where it says %26quot;Payroll Employment,%26quot; you%26#039;ll see that there was a job gain in July of 92,000. I have no idea what the 50.9% you mention is, but 253,000 isn%26#039;t 50.9% of the total unemployed (about 7.5 million -- you didn%26#039;t really think that only a half million people are unemployed, did you?)

Since unemployment rates come out weekly and you%26#039;re quoting rates from over two weeks ago, I%26#039;m guessing you%26#039;re forwarding something you were e-mailed.

The link below will show you the minimum wage by state, and which ones get raised (just scroll down). Bush signed the bill to do this. Previously, attempts had been killed when Republicans wrecked the bill by throwing in massive tax cuts for primarily wealthy people (say, people who mostly get money through stock dividends instead of a paycheck).
