For years, all we heard was Republicans farting the phrase WMD in every media outlet available, all day every day, to justify the war in Iraq. Now that we all know their justification was wrong, Democrats are trying to hold them accountable. Even many Republicans are doing their own version of Cut and Run from this political nightmare.

It has nothing to do with anything else going on in this country, it has to do with the fact that we are in an illegal war where our troops are stretched to the absolute limit, without the support of any other country other than Great Britain (unlike what Bush, Cheney, et.al. promised in the beginning), and our REAL enemy is still hiding in his friggin%26#039; cave, and still training his followers.|||Because the average American has the attention span of a goldfish. Plus, they don%26#039;t want you to know about the REAL positive progress in Iraq.|||We don%26#039;t. Republicans have finessed this old manuever. If you have been following the news lately (and I don%26#039;t mean Faux News), you%26#039;ll see that interest rates are beginning to creep up, the stock market is becoming more volatile, the bubble has burst on the housing market, and the unemployment rate is also creeping back up.

Gas prices at the pump are the highest they have ever been in the last 25 years while oil company profits have increased to 9.5 percent from 8.5 percent this time last year. The average consumer now pays over twice what they paid for gas before W took office.

So, I wouldn%26#039;t say that things have actually gotten better since W took office.
